Biography
Personal Experience
Alissa has navigated a life full of course corrections, and it led her to pursue her passion to help others. Her journey has brought her through lessons on grief, loss, parenting, relationship issues, career planning, personal growth, women’s issues, being a mom/single mom, coping, burnout, diagnosis, disease management, end of life care. In 2017, Alissa earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work at the University of Central Florida. The very next year she completed her graduate studies and earned her Master’s degree in Social Work.
Alissa has had the honor of being invited to hear, be a part of and experience the life stories of so many amazing people over the years. Her own journey has allowed her to connect and resonate with others in ways that is unexpected, and at a level that offers a place of healing and growth.
She has worked with the Parkinson’s and Movement disorder community for over the past 7 years. She has worked with care partners, young onsets, newly diagnosed, disease management, co-morbidities, end of life planning, all that comes along with it and more from depression and anxiety to intimacy. For the last couple of years, Alissa shifted her focus to work more with children ages 5-17 in the school setting locally. Please feel free to contact for more information.
