Biography
Personal Experience
Amanda has experience working in schools, community mental health, and private practice settings. Amanda has worked extensively with people in blended families and individuals who have experienced adverse experiences, divorce, domestic violence, addictions, abuse, neglect, foster care, and trauma. Amanda’s experience includes working with depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, and adjustment disorders.
Amanda graduated with her Master of Social Work from the University of Central Florida and is Certified in Adoption Competence.
Amanda works with clients of all ages (children, teens, and adults) to develop an understanding of their experiences and learn coping skills for the present. She primarily works with people who are experiencing big life transitions or have experienced trauma and loss. When working with individuals, Amanda employs a strengths-based and client-centered approach to improve self-esteem, learn coping skills for anger, and process grief.
