Sharon Quackenbush, LMHC, NCC, (she/her/hers) offers counseling services for individuals, groups, couples, partners, and families. Sharon works to empower those who wish to manage or overcome experiences and challenges related to depression, anxiety and stress, grief and loss, trauma, substance use, self-esteem, relationship-issues, emotional regulation, ASD, career changes, and other life challenges. Through counseling, Sharon helps her clients increase a sense of self-worth and improve their understanding of their own emotions while providing helpful tools to improve communication and relationships.

Biography
Personal Experience
Sharon earned her undergraduate Degree from Florida Southern College and her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Central Florida. She is certified through the Youth Ministry Institute and has over 10 years of experience working with teens, adolescents, and their parents.
Sharon has additional training and experience in working with addictions, substance use, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and marriage and family counseling. Sharon has practiced counseling in private practices, youth residential facilities, and medical settings. Sharon is especially passionate about supporting members of the LGBTQIA+ community and studies effective methods to support individuals in this community who have been impacted by complex or religious trauma.
Sharon’s approach to counseling is grounded in empathy and the belief that a client is an expert in their own life. She utilizes an integrated theoretical approach of Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Systems Theory, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
Through therapy, Sharon works to establish safe, brave, and empowering spaces for her clients to facilitate healing, invite connection, build acceptance, and find peace.
